FORECAST FOR GHANA COVID-19 CASES

In effort of preparing for the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ikxano team has developed two forecast models for predicting COVID-19 cases based on recent infection trends in Ghana. The first model is a time series model with linear growth, while the second follows a logistic trend. Provided that people adhere to the social distancing and stay-at-home directive by the government, increase in COVID-19 cases in Ghana would be gradual and unlikely to overwhelm the healthcare system. Model 2 is likely to pan out if instituted advisory on COVID-19 is implemented with less aggression. It is hoped that all citizens behave responsibly in these times.
